At Math's English Academy

Math’s English Academy was founded in 2020 during the Covid‑19 pandemic, a time when the shutdown of many activities pushed people to become more creative and to search for new ways to continue their intellectual and professional growth.

This was the case for Luis Méndez, originally from Trujillo, Venezuela, who in 2020 was in the final semesters of his Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Los Andes in Mérida. Thanks to his strong command of English, he began offering personalized lessons to family and friends. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and word of mouth quickly expanded his reach to many more students.

This experience inspired Luis to solidify the idea of creating an academy supported by qualified collaborators who could help him bring this vision to life.

By mid‑2021, the academy already had two teachers and around 10 students.

Today, more than 300 students have passed through our online learning community, and we currently have over 60 active students. The academy has grown into a team of 14 dedicated teachers who provide their services, an administrator, and the overall direction led by our CEO, Luis Méndez.

We embrace continuous improvement: we review, adjust, and refine our classes, materials, and processes to ensure the best learning experience possible.
